Arto Ikävalko

Arto Ikävalko (b. 1992) is an upcoming young Jazz pianist working in Helsinki. He has a strong concept on improvisation and a delicate sense of accompanying. Alongside of being intense group player and soloist, he has a fresh compositional style.

At the moment Arto is completing his Master´s degree at Jazz Music Department of Sibelius Academy in Finland. He has also studied abroad at Conservatorium of Amsterdam. Arto´s talents are utilized at several different ensembles and he has performed with some of the best Finnish musicians (e.g. Jukka Perko, Jukka Eskola, Kalevi Louhivuori).
